Those of you who’ve read my last couple posts probably noticed that I’ve updated my blog design again.
And I’ve changed the URL, just in case you didn’t notice the site redirect. I needed to put more space between my personal writing and my professional life. Now that I work for a local newspaper, I’m using social media all day but for work.
It’s still okay (for now) that people know who I am and who is writing these posts. But my blog needs to be a little less visible.
When you work in the media, talking about politics and expressing opinions can be viewed as unprofessional. For instance, if I go interview local homeschool coops for a story and they find my blog and articles I’ve written about problems I’ve experienced in the homeschool community, they might not believe that I can write a fair, balanced story.
So instead of eleanorskelton.com, my blog now lives over here at eleanorwritesthings.com.
If you want to see the history of previous layouts, check out 2016 or 2010-2015.
So here’s what my blog looked like until this month.
I’m working on some posts on healing and coming back to my faith in a way that’s healthy for me.
I’ve also gotten into the minimalism lifestyle, and I’m so much happier living with less. It sounds strange until you try it.
These are the things I want to tell you guys about, but feel free to tune out of the posts about spirituality if you’re not in a place where you’re ready to read them. No obligations.
I’m not sure how often I’ll be posting (I’m learning to be gentle to myself and not be a workaholic), but when I write something, it will be from my heart.
Thank you so much for reading!
