My friends say that I am Kimmy Schmidt

Most people seem to either love or hate Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Two of my study buddies during my senior year of college couldn’t stand watching it because they don’t like awkward humor. And there are some problematic elements in the show.

But nearly everyone agrees that I am Kimmy Schmidt. They watch the show and go, “Yup, that’s Eleanor.”

This is probably because:

1. I get ecstatic about the smallest things.
2. I wear bright clothing.
3. I’m still kinda socially awkward.
4. I use language strangely.
5. I’m super awkward at dating.

Here’s some of my favorite quotes from Season 1:

“You’re okay. You’re a person, you have a home now. Look, you have a window.”

“I’m totally normal, I’ve had everything normal happen to me.”

“I’m having candy for dinner!”

“Escaping is not the same as making it, Kimmy.”

“Protect me from what? The worst thing that ever happened to me happened in my own front yard.”

And I started watching season two this last weekend. I have more favorite quotes: 

“I waited 15 years to get my life back. I got a job, I got a boyfriend. But then the world was like psych!”

“Now you’re taking advantage of some poor girl who looks like she’s wearing a Scooby Doo costume.”
“Thank you!”

“What’s your deal? You’re like a cartoon person.”

“They say there’s a war on Christmas, well, sir, put me on the front line. Because if any Grinches or Scrooges dare come over that hill, I’ll make them wish they’d never been born!”

“Well, I’m going to talk to the internet and make it apologize, ok? Anonymous insults like that are never cool.”

“This neighborhood was based on Sesame Street. There’s a guy who lives in a trashcan and a gigantic furry monster that only I can see.”

“I know I told you to choose your own adventure, but you can’t.”

“The sheep must follow the sheep captain.”

Excuse me while I get back to bingewatching. I have to figure out why Titus’s new boyfriend airbrushed Tilda Swinton (a.k.a. The White Witch) on the back of his pickup truck.
